South’s Houses for Haiti club is currently raising money to build homes for the many homeless victims of natural disasters. Homes will have running water, working toilet, and employ the locals to build to help strengthen their economy and create jobs. To give a donation, please stop by any one of these following rooms and place your donation in the jar titled “Houses for Haiti, Merci International”: H112, F112, G210, Ms. Meyer’s room, or Mr. Sims room. This past weekend witnessed another South High victory at the Model United Nations conference at UAA. South High's delegations of New Zealand and Germany participated in solving global waste problems, and swept away most of the awards. Terek Rutherford, Kari Jahnsen, and Skyler Hektner each received the Most Distinguished Delegate Award for their committees. South's New Zealand team received the Most Outstanding Delegation of the conference. Congratulations Model UNers!!!

South Softball Clinics – Find out if softball is the sport for you. Basic Softball Skills Clinics March 2nd – 5th 6:30 – 8:30pm in the Upper Gym $5 fee for the entire clinic. South High Softball Tryouts – Monday 3/16 for Pitchers and Catchers, Wednesday 3/18 thru Friday 3/20 for all players.
There is a Track n Field meeting on Tuesday March 3rd at 10:30. We will be handing out meet and practice schedules for the up and coming season. If you miss the meeting, information will be by Coach Lewis' office or activities. Come on out and represent South in the 2015 season.
